This is not a conventional tale. It is a parable of the life in the infantile and candid world of the toys. Because of that, the protagonist, a little soldier with an only leg, has not only the temper that must have a soldier; but a tender and romantic heart, that confers him the courage to face the difficulties of the destiny. As a good soldier he will never complains of his misfortunes and he will face the dangerous with the strength of a knight. Only the platonic love for a fragile and delicate dancer, will fuel the desire to return unharmed to his beloved.
El Soldadito de Plomo no es un cuento convencional. Es una parábola de la vida llevada al mundo candoroso e infantil de los juguetes. Por eso su protagonista, un soldadito con una sola pierna, no solo está dotado del carácter y el temperamento que tiene que tener un soldado; posee además un corazón tierno que le confiere el coraje suficiente para enfrentar las adversidades del destino. Como buen soldado nunca se lamentará de sus desventuras y enfrentará los peligros con la fortaleza de un guerrero. Solo el amor platónico hacia una frágil y delicada bailarina, avivará su deseo de retornar ileso junto a su amada.
